A computer-crime task force that is investigating the lost iPhone prototype of Apple engineer, Gray Powell, has seized computers, a cell phone, and digital cameras from Gizmodo blog editor, Jason Chen. Chen was the one who posted photos and details about the phone that Gizmodo apparently bought from the man a man that found it in a bar.

Gizmodo, the company responsible for the media uproar about the new secret device, is owned by Gawker Media Inc. It’s completely clear why Jason Chen is being as a criminal when all he really did was his job as a blogger. California law does state the journalist are protected from having to turn over material or sources. Hell, look at TMZ…
